Tamil Nadu government to provide 2GB per day free data to college students through ELCOT data card
Free 2GB Per Day ELCOT Data Cards: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister
announced that the Tamilnadu State government will provide free data cards
2GB per day to college and polytechnic college students from January 2021 to
April 2021.
This Covid-19 pandemic, the colleges are providing online classes for students. This will help college students to attend online classes.

As per the official press release, Government and government-aided arts and science, engineering and polytechnic college students and also students those receiving scholarships in private colleges will also get this benefit.
ELCOT Data Card
The Free 2GB data cards will be issued through the (ELCOT) Electronics
Corporation of Tamil Nadu Ltd.
This scheme was really helpful for college students because most of the
colleges have been conducting online classes in this period.
The Chief Minister said that the students to make use of the free data given
by the Tamil Nadu government for effective online class learning purpose.
